How to Maintain Weight After Reaching Goal in Keto Diet?

So once reaching goal weight, what’s next????? I have no interest in going back to sugar, grains in general, including how they make me feel. Does my body find its own natural weight settling point? I’m not looking to be a size 4. What is maintenance? How’s it different?? And how does one rebuild muscle from home?

Your body will decide what your weight should be. I didn't change a thing & have been maintaining for a little over two months now. My goal was 140, but my body decided to quit at 134. It fluctuates between 134 & 137 now.

I'm just a few pounds away & thinking its time to start focusing on rebuilding muscle. Hoping weight will settle on its own. Not even sure where to begin with rebuilding. Going to a gym is not an option.

There are lots of at-home workouts also. And YouTube is excellent for learning some exercises.

What equipment do you have at home? I started with bodyweight exercises like squats, lunges, and push-ups. Eventually, you can add dumbbells or kettlebells to the squats. I also found a 20-minute kettlebell workout that was the total body and easy to modify. You don't need a gym or a ton of equipment. I definitely recommend taking pictures and measurements because it's likely the scale will stall, but the body re-comp will be very noticeable in pics.

I have a treadmill and 2- 5lb weights. I never did take a before pic but do have my measurements from this journey. Maybe I'll get that picture just to see what muscle toning does for me. My targets now are my belly and thighs, as far as toning. But really disappointed in my arm strength.

I never took pics either, but years ago I did p90x and did not lose a pound. I was so frustrated, but people kept commenting on how good I looked and even I knew my clothes fit better. So, when I started Crossfit, I took pictures every month. My weight never dropped by more than 5 lbs, but the difference in pictures was staggering, especially in my abdomen.

It's harder to spot-tone fat loss. Look for core movements like squats with overhead press, planks, push-ups, etc. The strength will come.

Just adjust your macros to maintenance, and you will be fine my husband reaches his goal weight, and been maintaining for about three months, he's doing awesome.
