    Fat is more caloric though so if you are "overeating on fat" as you say, that would be more caloric than "overeating on carbs."

    Don’t ‘trust the process’ that fat is the magic to fat-burning, creating a caloric surplus will create weight gain regardless of the macro. Even people that follow a ketogenic or low carb diet still have to stay in a calorie deficit for fat loss.

    Fat has a lot of calories and really adds up fast. A majority of ppl do better with a higher carb lower-fat diet.

    calories are calories when it comes to weight loss – you lose weight from a calorie deficit – doesn't matter which macro it comes from.
