How to Keep yourself Motivated to Stick on Water Fasting?

My third week and I completely fell off track. Did not intermittent fast one day, now the last two days I have been stuffing my face, definitely feeling down. I started my fast 15 min ago. Plan on doing a 3-day water fast to get this crud out of my system then back on to 16:8. Has anyone fallen off track like this before?

    Treating it as a punishment with a ‘water fast’ will make this a difficult cycle to sustain. Just start back on your plan with your usual routine tomorrow, creating unhealthy habits or feeling you need to correct a mistake by restricting food will only end in failure.

    Yep, I fall off track regularly and also have days off when I have social plans. But stick to it, you'll be fine. With me, my stomach shrinks, so I find I can't eat the amount I used to. Always remember you are changing life long habits. You will be fine. Just keep doing 16-8 as much as possible. I agree with the odd 24 hour plus fast. Keep going.

    3-day water fast is extreme… remember it’s about long term consistency. Instead of the 3-day water fast just start again today with your regular fasting.
    Forgive yourself, start new, and stop trying to make up days.

    Yes, during a holiday last week. Where I ate so much junk and put on 8lbs. I did 72-hour water fast and then started my 23/1 OMAD. Back on track now.

    No worries. The good thing in IF is that if you fall off the wagon, you climb back and start doing it again. I fell off but jumped back and doing 16/8 again.
