    I fasted for seven days and noticed a significant difference in the extra skin on my stomach. Strictly water only, bone broth would completely halt autophagy. Bulletproof coffee would be better with coconut oil only, if you NEED it, but try to keep it as clean as possible. If you're going to put the days in, might as well get the most benefit out of it.

      Seven days is such an awesome goal. How would someone following a keto diet break this fast?

        A small serving of almonds and then wait a few hours to eat another small meal. I broke it with an omelet after that, but I've heard eggs aren't recommended too soon.

    I did a couple of 113-138 hours (around five days). I did water & black coffee. Sometimes one coffee early afternoon with coconut oil only. I also had sole water several times a day. My understanding is that any trace of protein will halt autophagy. So the simpler, the better I figured.

    91 hours (just short of 4 days) I did one coffee first day only with MCT oil, 2 cups herbal tea the second day in the evening for dinner, then the rest of the time water with a variety of exotic fancy salts. And no-salt (potassium), carbonated mineral waters, a b- complex the second day too, magnesium supplement throughout. I lost 6 pounds. Maybe 2 or 3 pounds came back after the fast. I feel and look much smaller (body wise) after this fast.

    My longest was 14 days: water, black coffee, and salt. I had two Powerade zeros in the middle of it because my body was detoxing, and I was feeling terrible. Autophagy is hard to prove, but since I started fasting, I have noticed a reduction in acne scars from my teens.
